  residential solar array

Taunton, MA - This smart home owner took advantage of Taunton's Light and Power solar program to obtain an amazing ROI. He saves over $64 a month over the 25+ lifespan of the system. His rate of return on cash invested is 14.4%. Try getting a stock or bank interest like that! Savings grow over 184% of the life of the system and his bill is reduced by 47%. The payback period is 7 years and the system will reduce green house gas emissions by 45 tons which is equivalent to planting 1,796. Imagine if a row of houses all had this system! All this from just from a 2.25kW sized system. We utilized Solar in Box for a lighting quick installation.

Spectrum Lighting Solar Array

Fall River, MA - This was a great project for us because by directly impacting a local business' bottom line it enables them to create more jobs. Spectrum Lighting manufactures energy efficient lighting for commercial and architectural applications which are used by facilities nationwide. Their solar array, coupled with the white membrane roof, will create the added revenue needed to increase their production. We installed and commissioned the 58.8kW solar array at their 120,000 sq ft manufacture, showroom and office facility. The facility is a former mill building which dates back to 1872. The roof was also refinished with a TPO white membrane which dramatically decreases the cooling costs, increases the roof's life span and the solar array's power output. The solar array is designed with a four year payback and will reduce Green House gas emissions by 1,256 tons of CO2 over its 25 year life span. This is equivalent to planting 50,220 trees.

Hyannis, MA

Hyannis, MA - We completed one of the largest ground mount systems in Massachusetts! We used Canadian Solar modules and Solectria Inverters on this 106kW system at large Cape Cod bank. We provided all of the project design, project management, site supervision and electrical and assembly labor for this ground mount project. The project was completed for Turning Mill Energy.

Quincy, MA - We provided everything from the project design to site supervision for this 25.92 kW system at large wind turbine manufacturer and wind farm operator in Quincy, Massachusetts. We used Canadian Solar modules and UniRac Rapid Rac ballast racking system. We designed the system to be capable of receiving incentives from the Commonwealth Solar Stimulus Rebate Program, which provides rebates through a non-competitive application process for the installation of photovoltaic projects.

Dartmouth, MA - In less than five weeks Solar Installation Limited transformed the bare corrugated roof of Dartmouth Building Supply's 54,000 sqft millwork and warehouse into a 201,600 DC watt solar powerhouse. With 960 SunTech modules and 2 Solectria 95KW inverters it is now one of the largest private single solar arrays in Massachusetts. SI co-designed and installed the giant system. They also obtained all the necessary permitting and state, federal and Massachusetts Technology Collaborative grants. The system is expected to pay for itself within five years. It will save DBS over $4,000 a month in energy costs. Components for the system were supplied by Munro Solar.

Sharon, MA

Sharon, MA - This was a great success  system for us because it was an ornate turn-of-the century building with classic lines and even though the solar array follows the path of the sun, none of the system is visible from the street. We used a UniRac RapidRac Fixed ballast rack system which required no roof penetration. This resulted in a a quicker installation, no leaks, no extra work and no worries. The system can also be easily moved if necessary. We provided all of the design, permitting, management, site supervision, electrical work and assembly.

Brockton, MA

Brockton, MA - We installed a 24 kW system on a distribution center. It also leases office space in the building. The building is a 25 year old, 65,000ft, space metal building situated next to the T-Commuter Rail. The system will generate $121,385 in energy saving bills over the next 25 years. That number could substantially increase due to the volatile world market. It will offset 424 tons of carbon over it's lifetime, which is the equivalent to 16,960 trees planted. See how much energy the system is producing in real-time.
